The REME Team

it's in our culture...

Daniel Blanco

Principal
Chief Executive Officer

Daniel Blanco co-founded REME with Philip in late 2014. His background in real estate evolved from a residential energy inspection start-up he founded while studying Business Administration at the University of Houston. After selling the company just a few short years later, he was inspired by the growing communities around him and immediately began a new career in real estate development as a home builder in 2012. Primarily focused on high density in-fill communities, Daniel's understanding of the residential  development industry grew quickly.

As a partner and Chief Executive Officer of REME, Daniel oversees the day-to-day operations while spearheading land acquisition, business development, and our builder network. In addition, he is the primary leader in municipal and county relations during the entitlement process. His unique ability to find underutilized land in the path of growing markets has helped the firm continue to scale year over year. With a strong understanding of special districts, local zoning restrictions, governing ordinances, market conditions, and product mix, Daniel is able to efficiently underwrite new land opportunities on a daily basis.

Philip Carey

Principal
Chief Investment Officer

Growing up in London Ontario, Canada, Philip was enamored with construction at an early age, as his grandfather owned a local hardware store and fencing company. Coming down to Texas for his collegiate years, Philip played baseball for Texas A&M while earning his degree from the Mays Business School in 2009. Looking for opportunities outside of athletics, Phil joined forces with Daniel to start up a real estate development group.

As a partner and Chief Investment Officer, Philip oversees and creates the business model and structure for all REME communities. His experience extends to complex real estate transactions, structured finance, and capital markets. Philip is responsible for ensuring REME’s projects have the right capital solutions for both debt and equity. Philip also plays an integral part in project due diligence, underwriting and feasibility. In addition, Philip helps manage the companies’ taxes, entity creations and investor relations. Because of Philip’s financial background, he’s had the ability to offer various creative financing solutions for REME’s past and present development projects. Philip led the efforts in negotiating and structuring the firm’s public private partnerships, chapter 380 agreements and Infrastructure reimbursements agreements with various municipalities across the state.

Evan Jarvis

Senior Project Manager

Evan comes from a strong entrepreneurial background. His ambition to be a part of building something from scratch was ingrained in him at an early age. With a degree in Construction Science from Texas A&M University, Evan decided to take his talents and hard working mentality to join the REME Team in late 2021.

His primary role as senior project manager is to ensure that all projects perform on time and under budget. Additionally, he is tasked with continuing REME's ability to add more to it's repertoire by starting and growing new divisions within the company that will further the reach of what REME can offer as a full service real estate development firm.
